What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring along your sewing machine, a rotary cutter and a small mat, seam ripper, pins, and extra bobbins. I have a kitchen in my studio, so you can you bring a sack lunch or pot luck to share.

Is there any prerequisite for taking a class?

Your desire to have fun and learn is all you need to take any class from me.

What if I have never quilted before?

Half of all my students have never quilted before.  I include the basics of quilting in every class if I have students who need it.

What if I don't know what fabrics to bring?

Since I rely on large multi-colored fabrics to do a lot of the design work in my quilts, I keep a huge selection of these fabrics and batiks in stock in my studio, available for purchase. In the COLOR ROWS class, students pick their own colors and put their own kit together from pre-cut strips.  All other classes contain lots of advice on choosing colors and fabrics.  Color is my thing so I talk about it a lot.

I piece tops but don't 'quilt' them....what do I do after putting the top together?

I started my quilting career as a long-arm quilter and I still do custom quilting as well as teach. I can also teach you how to choose batting and how to finish a professional binding.
